The West Indian Student Organization is a non-profit student organization founded at Rutgers University in 1973. Also known as "WISO", the West Indian Student Organization is devoted to bridging the gap between the Caribbean community and the Rutgers student body. The largest collegiate organization catering to Caribbean students in New Jersey, WISO's goals are to sponsor cultural and educational programs, participate in volunteer efforts that are beneficial to the surrounding New Brunswick and Piscataway communities, while working to create a stronger relationship with students of every ethnic background here at Rutgers University.
WISO meetings are held very MONDAY night, during the Fall & Spring semesters, inside the Paul Robeson Cultural Center on Busch Campus (Adjacent to the Busch Campus Center) @ 9pm!!
